NPG is recommended for racing engines that run on tracks or in series where there is a 'NO Ethylene Glycol' rule. I know they use this stuff in big rig trucking but other then that I haven't heard of many people using it in normal trucks much.Īt 43 bucks a gallon, it's pricy, and would cost me about 280 bucks to do a coolant change on mine, but then I'd never have to change the coolant again. Evans NPG is the Original Waterless Coolant and is a lifetime coolant. That seems huge to me, especially on having the 6.0 liter where coolant is the biggest killer of oil and egr coolers. This stuff apparently boils at 375 degrees. My truck tops out at 16psi for coolant to raise the boiling point on the water. It never corrodes metals because it has no water in it and it's easier on your cooling system because it requires only about 4psi of pressure vs higher psi in other cooling systems.
